Tony Beer Smith's Red LS4 1974 Coupe with black deluxe interior
The  car was registered to J. Abercrombie of 512 Ware Shoals, South Carolina, USA in 1986-87. It was imported by Joe's Golden Gasoline's in 2004, but was missing the front and rear bumper covers. The Vette had been neglected for 30 years in the South Carolina sun.

ttWe stripped the paint back to glass, found that the inside of the doors had never been repainted, so we matched the paint to the doors. Repaired minor damage to front panels. Brakes sleeved, new seals. Separated the body from chassis, cleaned and painted frame and under body. Refitted body with new mounts, replaced all suspension bushes, Primed and painted body, made new front bumper cover, fitted tt2s/hand rear cover. Fitted new weather strips, water pump, fuel pump, carby kit, plugs and leads. Restored console and storage compartment frame and lid frames. Recovered seats with covers from my other 1974 parts car. Fitted radio and Code Alarm Pro alarm system. Installed fuel cut off with security key switch. New R/hand lower ball joint, new r/hand engine mount, Kuhmo KL51 tyres and a wheel alignment. Total = 6 years. We also discovered that the car had a full set of matching numbers. We have enjoyed Zippel cruises ( 4 so far), and the drive to our daughter's place at Rhynie, long drive - nice ride; handles well.
