GRINNERS & WINNERS CORVETTES ROCK the BAY 2020
Up early & down to Wigley Reserve to set up for the Annual Corvettes Rock the Bay show n shine.
The weather gods were kind to us & we had a total of 96 cars turn up. This is pretty good for a one make car given it was exclusively Corvettes on display. We also had all 7 generations represented.
We wish to thank everyone who helped set up & pull down. Without you it would be a long day. Jim & Catherine were our parking officials, Stuart & Gary our parking attendants. Debbie & Graham promoted our event by getting AJ & Peter into the Messenger & Advertiser. A special thanks to Graham & Joy Walker with his flashing light who raised $165 by asking for a gold coin donation to Heart Kids for allowing people to sit in a Corvette for a photo opportunity. Thanks also to the people who allowed the public to sit in their Corvettes. This was Shirelee’s 1st year as merchandise officer, however she took $1,150 in sales on the day. Thanks also to the ladies who helped out in the tent.
Music was supplied by the band “Rave On” who had everybody’s toes tapping throughout the day.
Congratulations to all the people who won a trophy. Keep in mind it is the public & entrants who cast the votes, not the club members as such. It was great to see R4’s grandkids get a trophy for their Dad’s car.

Lastly we wish to thank everyone who came & enjoyed the day. It’s great to see that a lot of members that are not always able to attend meetings or runs always manage to make the CRTB show. Eg Steve Bryers who flew in from WA for the day & had to leave early to fly back. That’s commitment!
