Wallaroo Run – Sunday 7th July 2019The Sunday started with wet roads getting to the meet point so the nice and shiny cars were not as shiny, but we still had nine corvettes, one comutevette and one mazvette and we were joined at Kadina by a 4wd mazvette so we had 21 for lunch at the Coopers Ale House Wallaroo.
We left Munno Para and headed up to Mallala to our comfort stop at Balaklava where it was cold and overcast, from there it was onto Whitwarta the roads were very quiet until we joined highway one just after Nantawarra then onto Lochiel.
We left the highway at Lochiel and headed toward the Paskeville Field Days site through Ninnes and from there toward Moonta and we took the Agery Road to Kadina where we stopped to drop Wally off at Karens Mum and Dads then onto Wallaroo in brilliant sunshine and not so clean cars.
The meal was its usual high quality made even better by the company, we were enjoying sitting overlooking the marina and watching the dolphins play when the fog came in and we were forced to look at one another, good for some not so good for others, with lunch finished we said our goodbyes and headed from whence we came.
A special mention to Darle and Phil members from Monash who would have well and truly blown the cobwebs out of the C3 by the time they got home and to Zoe who left Wallaroo that morning to join Steve for the run had lunch and then back to Adelaide then back to Wallaroo, would have been easier to just walk the 500 metres have lunch and walk home again, things some people do for a ride in a corvette.
To Alan who gave us a demonstration on how to remove the tops on his C3 and put them on again (a couple of times) thankyou it was very informative.
A good run on roads less travelled.
