Saturday 22nd July saw our midyear dinner at the Hilton Hotel hosted by Goof & Mel take place.
The theme was Out of this World & there were all sorts. We had Obi Wan Kenobi, Gandalf the Grey, Princess Leia, a Samurai warlord, Emperor Palpatine, An alien that could drink through his nose & poke it's tongue out through it's eye socket, the Vengeful Spirit, Batman & Robin along with other colourful critters as well as the human race..
Goof ran quiz on alien topics to find the biggest sci fi buff. The waitresses chose the best dressed male & female.
Female was won by Cathy McPhee ( colourful alien )
Male was won by Bob Butler ( Gandalf the Grey )
Plenty of food & drinks made a most enjoyable night for all of those who came along.
A big thanks to Goof & Mel for their efforts in putting it together along with all the decorations & table settings. We all had a great night.
