Easter Run Clayton Bay Boat Club - 16th April 2017

After morning coffee at Macca's Castle Plaza, 18 cars departed for a cruise down to Clayton Bay for a BBQ lunch. My idea was "no U turns" as with this amount of cars that would be a bit awkward. But that was not to be. After giving directions we headed off down South Rd & regrouped at Flagstaff Hill before cruising down through Clarendon, Kangarilla, Meadows, and Strathalbyn. Now about that U-turn:- yep, at the Paris Creek turn off some of us went left & you guessed it, some went right. So hence only some of the cruisers had to do the U-turn, but they eventually caught up with us at Rusticana Winery (or Newman's Horseradish farm). Here we sampled wines, horseradish & olive oils. Lyn & I thank all of you who came & made the day the success it was. We also make a special thanks to Dave Thomas who offered the boat club facilities for us to enjoy. |
