| With the Adelaide Cup long weekend on March 10th we took advantage of the extra day off and did a run to Tanunda. A gentlemanly start time of 10am (I’m not a morning person) saw us gather at K-Mart Anzac Highway. Seven Vettes then made their way across town to Gorge Road where we were met by Graham and Karen who thought the better of bringing that confused Mustang on another club run. We then headed into the hills up to Chain of Ponds onto Kersbrook, Williamstown and then into Tanunda. This was our last chance to get into the Barossa Valley before this month’s Nationals. Our final destination was Bowl Land at Tanunda where we dined on wood oven pizza and burgers. Mini golf had been the idea but with our competitive streak coming out we decided to do the 10 pin bowling instead. Divided into 2 teams it was on for young and old (mostly old). Goof showed us all up, we later discovered he had been a competition bowler in a previous life. Another fun day out with the club. |
