We all met at that shopping centre, you know the one on Tapley's hill rd, KB know where it is everyone else calls it Fulham shopping centre. At 9.45 corvette time we picked our first 2 cards and Tom our newest member wanted 2 aces so KB removed them from the pack so Tom could not be called a cheat. We then got given our maps, there was some confusion with the wording of the maps but this was sorted and we made or exit to start the pilgrimage to the next stop on this run.
It is called a coffee stop at Littlehampton.
We met up with the rest of the club members and decided to have a chat about all the relevant things we need to know, and selected another card. At about 11.40 corvette time we left Littlehampton to head for Murray Bridge on the old Melbourne rd and arrived at the Gourmet Cake Shop for our lunch. This involved parking all cars and also parking club members on seats it took a little bit of time to do all this in a nice corvette way. KB then went around and everyone selected their last 2 cards to get a poker hand. Peter and Lynda won with 4 sevens. We all enjoyed a magnificent meal and friendly service from Tyson and his crew.
When all was done we set off on our own to go home or wherever we wished except for 3 cars that had become impounded out the back behind a locked compound. Graham and Debbie, David and Mae-Lynn and Jeff and Jenny where a bit worried and one of them was firing up nicely and she did not see the funny side but after a dose of Valium sanity returned. So overall we had a great day with great people enjoying great food thanks to all that went for a great day. |
