KB’s Remembrance Day run Sunday 11.11.12
We arrived at Cafe for you in Lipson st, Port Adelaide at about 8.00am and got our first coffee for the day, I was hoping for 20 people as that is what I had booked for and over the next hour or so we had nearly 30 for breakfast. Thanks to Steve and Tina a new couple to the Corvette Club fold who took a chance on their first outing with us.
Some of us had a look at the Volkswagens that were on show in Todd st then looked at the maritime museum while others went to the Fisherman wharf. At 11.00am we had our minute or so silence for our fallen heroes that have lost their lives for us, and then made our way to Lobethal. We all behaved extremely well except for a couple of hoons (I will not name names eh Jim). We arrived at the Lobethal slot car emporium and made ourselves known. Michelle and Jason were great ambassadors and helped us get sorted for our fun on the track. I had hoped that we would get about 6 club members up to the track for some fun but was surprised that all of the 26 or so had some track time. In Corvette club fashion we took over and had a great time and I hope that we do it again as I believe it was a great day. |
